Abstract:Tehnologija trirazsežnega tiskanja plastomagnetov predstavlja revolucionarni nov način izdelave magnetov in omogoča izdelavo izdelkov kompleksnih oblik, ki še vedno odražajo dobre magnetne in mehanske lastnosti.

Title:The influence of binder type on the properties of 3d printed polymer bonded magnets
Abstract:Technology of three-dimensional printing of plastomagnets represent revolutionary new way of making magnets and enables production of components of complex shapes, while keeping good magnetic and mechanics properties. In the thesis, we were looking for the optimal material for production of plastomagnets. With the help of mechanical tests, we decided that material polyamide PA12 is the best candidate. We used it as a binder (10% of mass percentage) for magnetic dust Nd-Fe-B (90% of mass percentage). In our research we also tested the importance of layer overlap for mechanical properties of plastomagnets. We created 3 series of plastomagnets with different layer overlap. In our research, we used the following research methods: impact resistant test, tensile test, measurement of density, microscopy and magnetography. Area of 3D printing of plastomagnets is promising many new usages of magnets, so it makes sense to pursue that field even more in the future.
