Title:Cyber security in EU
Abstract:We live in a time when technology is evolving at an incredible pace, and, consequently resulting in development of more and more sophisticated attack techniques that can potentially cause major/serious disruption in the security of critical infrastructure, organizations and individuals. technology that not only makes our life and work easier but also improves it is quickly and enthusiastically accepted by its users. In fact, we can no longer imagine life without it, therefore, it is of crucial importance for all users, regardless of gender, and socio-economic background, to be aware of the pitfalls of using modern technology. In the first part of the diploma project we explain the basic concepts, such as the importance of cyber security, as well as define and present cyber threats according to the classification of the European Cyber Security Agency ENISA. We continue with a description of the European Union's cyber security policies, outlining the major cybersecurity actors in the EU, and explaining the directives, acts and regulations adopted by the EU to ensure the control of cyber security as much as possible. Last but not least, we also present the Cyber Security Strategy that was adopted by Republic of Slovenia.
