Abstract:V magistrskem delu smo izvedli glasbene delavnice z uporabo uglašenih glasbenih cevi med petošolci. Uporabili smo deskriptivno in kavzalno neeksperimentalno metodo empiričnega pedagoškega raziskovanja. Rezultate smo obdelali s pomočjo SPSS programa.

Title:The Use of Boomwhackers in Music Workshops for the Fifth Grade
Abstract:This master thesis focuses on music workshops for the fifth grade which implement the use of boomwhackers. It explores whether playing aided by an application is easier than when following musical notation and whether there are differences in performance among fifth graders who attend music school and does who do not. The study is based on non-probability sampling of 14 fifth graders, half of which are music school students. Musical notation was replaced by applications, the criteria for observation of the students was proposed and a questionnaire was set up. Three music workshops with the duration of one school hour were carried out. The method of empirical pedagogical research used was of non-experimental descriptive and causal nature. The results were processed by the SPSS programme. Students who attend music school achieved better results in some respects. There are differences between fifth graders who attend music school and those who do not. The differences concern: most common mistakes (H1), the adequacy of the execution of rhytmic schemes (H 2), regard to accent (H 3), suitability of body position (H 4), level of enjoyment of the activities (H 6), most common problems according to fifth graders (H 7), their opinion on the difficulty of playing boomwhackers with the help of musical notation or applications (H 8) and their opinion of incorporating boomwhackers workshops into regular class schedule (H 9). Hypothesis H 5 was overthrown as there were no differences among students in relation to their playing technique. It was concluded that with good preparation and some practice, students who do not attend music school were able to successfully perform compositions on boomwhackers. The practical part of the thesis brings detailed descriptions of the workshops and the applications that are useful in primary school.
