Title:Določitev najboljšega okoljskega izida za odpadni tekstilni poliestrski material : diplomsko delo

Abstract:S problematiko odpadkov se v današnjem času nenehno srečujemo, saj so odpadki zaradi neprimernega ravnanja z njimi postali eden izmed večjih okoljskih problemov. Za odpadne materiale je potrebno poiskati primerne okoljske rešitve. Namen diplomskega dela je bil poiskati najboljši okoljski izid za tekstilni odpadni poliestrski material. Metode dela: Podrobneje smo pregledali literaturo s področja odpadnega tekstilnega materiala, ponovne uporabe odpadnih materialov, recikliranja in uporabe tereftalne kisline. Uporabili smo strokovne članke in literaturo v slovenskem in angleškem jeziku. V eksperimentalnem delu smo izvedli test gorljivosti in test topnosti, kot kemijsko recikliranje smo izvedli nevtralno in alkalno hidrolizo. Rezultati: V sklopu diplomskega dela smo izpolnili zadane cilje. S pomočjo hierarhije ravnanja z odpadki smo poiskali pozitivne in negativne lastnosti ravnanja s posameznimi odpadki. Nato smo za svoj vzorec določili najboljši okoljski izid. Izkazalo se je, da je kemijsko recikliranje najprimernejše, saj z njim pridobimo izdelek enake kakovosti kot predhodno recikliran material, hkrati pa gre tudi z okoljskega vidika za sprejemljiv način obdelave.

Title:The determination of the best environmental outcome for waste textile polyester material
Abstract:Nowadays, we are constantly facing the problem of waste, as waste has become one of the major environmental problems due to improper handling. Waste materials require suitable environmental solutions. The purpose of this diploma thesis was to find the best environmental outcome for textile waste polyester material. Methods of work: We have reviewed in greater detail the literature on waste textile material, waste material reuse, recycling, and use of terephthalic acid. We used professional articles and literature in Slovene and English. In the experimental part, a flammability test and a solubility test were performed; neutral and alkaline hydrolysis were carried out as chemical recycling. Results: The thesis fulfilled the set goals. By employing the waste hierarchy, we searched for positive and negative properties of waste management. We then determined the best environmental outcome for our sample. Chemical recycling has proven to be most appropriate, since it produces a product of the same quality as previously recycled material, and is also an environmentally acceptable treatment method.
