Abstract:V diplomskem delu je v teoretičnem delu s pomočjo strokovne literature predstavljena opredelitev igre.

Title:Use of a puppet in a child's simbolic play
Abstract:In the theoretical part of the thesis, the definition of the word game is presented with the help of professional literature. We focus on the factors of quality play, the role of adults in a game and the types of children's games. This is followed by the definition of puppets, where we focus on types of puppets, the methods of working with a puppet, the puppet corner and the development of a child through playing with puppets. We used the evaluation scale in this thesis, so we focus also on the theory of types and techniques of observation. The theoretical part is followed by the empirical part, where the obtained results from the evaluation scale are presented. With its help, we found out how many days children played with puppets, how many times a day and how long they persisted playing, which types of puppets drew their attention, the social interaction in a game, the theme of a game, communication with the puppet, their emotions and attitude in a symbolic game with the puppet. After a week of observation, a focused activity was carried out on the topic of the puppet, with which we wanted to find out whether the children would make use the puppets more.
