Keywords:koordinacijska spojina, ligand, železo, piridinkarboksamidi, izonikotinamid, rentgenska praškovna difrakcija, Fourierjeva transformacijska infrardeča spektroskopija, monokristalna analiza.

Title:Synthesis of iron coordination compounds with pyridine carboxamides
Abstract:The purpose of this Master thesis was the synthesis and characterization of the new iron coordination compounds with pyridinecarboxamides (picolineamide, nicotinamide and isonicotinamide). We performed 20 synthesis, in which we changed conditions and the selected reagents. The most commonly used solvent was methanol. The synthesis products were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, infrared spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. We succeeded to synthesize new coordination compound with chemical formula (isnH)2[Fe(isn)2(SO4)2(H2O)2]·H2O. The compound´s structure has not yet been known. It was the synthesis product of two syntheses (NB19 in NB20), where the isonicotinamide and iron (II) sulphate heptahydrate were used as the reagent. The compound was synthesized by stirring under reflux.
Keywords:coordination compound, ligand, iron, pyridinecarboxamides, isonicotinamid, X-ray powder diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
