Abstract:Trajnostni razvoj predstavlja vse bolj razširjen koncept delovanja držav, organizacij in posameznikov.

Title:The comparative analsis of the sustainable development concepts implementation in selected slovenian and foreign companies
Abstract:Sustainable development represents an increasingly widespread concept of functioning on national, organizational and individual levels. Reasons for that can be found in exponential growth of economy, threats of climate change, growing poverty and increasing global population. Sustainable development means, that countries, organizations and individuals do not only focus on economic success, but instead try to also lower their negative impacts on environment and society. Many companies have accepted this mindset and it is keeping them a step ahead of the competition. International institutions have also set goals for sustainable development with their initiatives and conferences, but they often do not have direct impact on business operations and many companies still disregard sustainability practices or use them as a marketing tool. In this graduation project, we study views and approaches to sustainable development of three Slovenian and three foreign companies.
