Abstract:S svojo raziskavo smo želeli preveriti povezave med izvajalsko anksioznostjo (IA), ruminacijo, refleksijo in perfekcionizmom pri glasbenikih razilčnih glasbenih žanrov.

Title:The Experience of Performance Anxiety in Conjunction with Perfectionism and Reflection/Rumination in Solo Singers of Different Music Genres
Abstract:With our study we wanted to examine the links between performance anxiety (PA), rumination, reflection and perfectionism in musicians of various music genres. Our sample comprised 282 participants (116 men, 166 women), with an average age of 27.61, who perform as soloists in various music genres such as popular folk music, popular music, jazz and classical music. The results showed that there are significant positive and negative links between performance anxiety and the individual aspects of perfectionism; there is a low negative link between PA and personal standards, while there is a medium positive link between PA and doubt in an action, parental expectations and parental criticism. Performance anxiety was linked to both reflection and rumination, whereby the link between performance anxiety and rumination is medium positive and low positive with reflection. We found that there exist significant differences in the way PA is experienced depending on the music genre; classical musicians experience the most PA, then jazz and popular music musicians, with popular folk music musicians experiencing the least PA.
