Title:Mrežni marketing in piramidni sistem - prednosti in slabosti : diplomsko delo visokošolskega študijskega programa Varnost in policijsko delo

Abstract:Veliko je nejasnosti ali je mrežni marketing podoben piramidnemu sistemu in ali obstajajo kakršnekoli prednosti pri obema sistemoma. Zato smo se odločili to temo raziskati še bolj. Namen diplomskega dela je razlikovati med mrežnim marketingom in piramidnim sistemom ter poznavanje njunih prednosti in slabosti. Vprašali smo se, kateri izmed poslovnih sistemov ima več slabosti, ali lahko nekdo preko takšnega načina poslovanja (mrežnega marketinga) postane uspešen in ali obstaja kakršnakoli podobnost med obema sistemoma. Pri samem raziskovanju smo uporabili tri različne metode, in sicer metodo deskripcije, ker je osnova za nadaljnjo interpretacijo informacij, analizo sekundarnih virov, ki temelji na že obstoječi literaturi in metodo komparacije, ki temelji na primerjanju enega sistema z drugim. Analiza je pripeljala do zaključkov, da je piramidni sistem tisti, ki ima več slabosti kot mrežni marketing. Prav tako smo ugotovili, da lahko nekdo preko mrežnega marketinga postane uspešen, če pride do svojih zaslužkov s trdim delom in pozitivnim odnosom, vendar se mora zavedati, da ta uspeh verjetno ne bo trajal večno. Pri zadnjem vprašanju pa smo glede na primerjavo med obema poslovnima sistemoma, kjer smo med sabo primerjali slabosti in prednosti enega in drugega, prišli do ugotovitev, da obstajajo neke skupne točke, to je prodaja in rekrutiranje novih članov ali strank. Vendar so razlike med obema sistemoma še vseeno očitne. Prav tako je treba vedeti, da je mrežni marketing zakonit poslovni sistem, medtem ko piramidni sistem deluje nezakonito in je kot kaznivo dejanje opredeljen tudi v slovenskem kazenskem zakoniku.

Title:Multi-Level marketing and pyramid scheme - advantages and disadvantages
Abstract:There is a lot of confusion that network marketing system is similar to pyramid scheme and whether there are any advantages in the two systems. So we decided to explore this topic further. The purpose of the thesis is to distinguish between the network marketing and pyramidal system and knowledge of their strengths and weaknesses. We asked ourselves which business system has a bigger number of drawbacks, if someone could become successful through this business (multilevel marketing) and whether there is any similarity between the two systems. In the research we used three different methods, namely, the description method, because it is the basis for the further interpretation of information, analysis of secondary sources, which is based on already existing literature and the comparative method, comparing systems with one another. The analysis led to conclusions that it is a pyramid system, which has more disadvantages than network marketing. We also found out that someone can get successful via network marketing, but needs to invest a lot of hard work and positive attitude. We also must be aware that this success is not likely to last forever. In the last issue, where we were depending on the comparison between the two business systems, where we compared each others cons and pros, we came to a conclusion that there are some common points, which are sale and recruiting new members and costumers. However, there are still obvious differences between the two systems. We need to keep in mind that network marketing is legitimate business system, while a pyramid scheme is not legitimate and is defined in Slovenian criminal code as criminal offense.
