Abstract:
V diplomskem delu z naslovom Zgodnje matematične aktivnosti na podlagi otroškega literarnega dela smo obravnavali povezovanje področja matematike in jezika, konkretno otroške literature, v vrtcu. V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela smo predstavili področje matematike v vrtcu, pri čemer smo izpostavili matematične cilje, ki jih usvajamo skozi načrtovane in spontane matematične dejavnosti. Poudarili smo pomen zgodnjih matematičnih aktivnosti za razvoj nadaljnjega matematičnega razmišljanja pri predšolskih otrocih in izpostavili povezovanje otroške literature z matematiko na način, ko nam literatura omogoča vsebinsko podlago za matematične dejavnosti. V diplomskem delu smo se osredotočili na dejavnosti iz matematike, ki so izhajale iz slikanice The doorbell rang. V prvem delu praktičnega dela diplomskega dela smo opisali matematične dejavnosti, ki smo jih izvajali v VVE OŠ Jelšane in so vsebinsko temeljile na zgoraj omenjeni slikanici. Cilj teh dejavnosti je bil otrokom matematiko približati, jo ponuditi na konkreten način in skozi vsebinsko zgodbo zastaviti matematične probleme tako, da je bilo iskanje njihovih rešitev zabava in užitek za otroke vseh starosti. V drugem delu praktičnega dela pa smo evalvirali uspešnost otrok pri matematičnih dejavnostih. Rezultate smo predstavili v obliki tabel in grafov. Rezultati so pokazali, da so bili otroci v večini uspešni pri reševanju matematičnih problemov, s čimer smo nakazali, da lahko na podlagi otroške literature pripravimo dobre matematične aktivnosti. Iz tega lahko sklepamo, da so takšne povezave med otroško literaturo in matematiko v vrtcu smiselne in dobre.

Title:
Early math activities based on children's literature
Abstract:
In the paper entitled Early Mathematical Activities Based on Children`s Literature we discussed the integration of mathematics and language, specifically children's literature, in kindergarten. In the theoretical part of the paper we presented the field of mathematics in kindergarten, where we highlighted the mathematical goals that we adopt through planned and spontaneous mathematical activities. We emphasized the importance of early mathematical activities for the development of further mathematical thinking in pre-school children, and highlighted the integration of children's literature with mathematics in a way in which literature provides a substantive basis for mathematical activities. In the thesis we focused on the activities in mathematics which were based on the picture book The doorbell rang. In the first part of the practical part of the paper we described the mathematical activities that were carried out in the VVE OŠ Jelšane and were based on the picture book mentioned above. The goal of these activities was to bring mathematics closer to children, to offer it in a concrete way and to present mathematical problems through a story, so that the search for solutions was amusing and enjoyable for the children of all ages. In the second part of the practical work we evaluated the performance of children in mathematical activities. The results were presented in the form of tables and graphs. The results showed that the children were mostly successful in solving mathematical problems. Thus we indicated that we can prepare quality mathematical activities based on children's literature. From this we can conclude that such links between children's literature and mathematics in kindergarten are meaningful and beneficial.
