Abstract:
Namen aplikacije je zajem informacij in spremljanje delovanja senzorjev strojnih komponent osebnega računalnika. V naši aplikaciji nadzorujemo naslednje strojne komponente: procesor, grafično kartico, pomnilnik, disk in matično ploščo.

Title:
User software for monitoring computer hardware functioning
Abstract:
This thesis is focused on the development of user software for Windows operating systems in the Visual Studio development environment and with C# programing language. The purpose of this application is information gathering and sensor monitoring of personal computer hardware. The hardware parts are monitored in this thesis are the processor, video card, memory, disk, and motherboard. Based on the review of existing software for monitoring computer hardware activity, we designed the user interface, trend function display and calculation, logging option, benchmarking tool, and customizable user profiles for better user experience. The application was tested on three different personal computers, one of which was a laptop. Processor benchmarks were conducted and the resulting graphs and trends were analysed. The results confirmed our expectations regarding the values of the observed parameters while under full load, as well as when the computer systems were not under full load. Our application is not yet suitable for release, as it should first be tested on several other computer systems.
