Abstract:	Dieser Artikel behandelt die Bewohnerentwicklung und Entwicklung der Siedlungsstruktur des Bezirkes Pilsen in der Tschechischen Republik. Es wird sowohl auf die gegenwärtige Situation in Pilsen und seinem Ballungsgebiet als auch auf die Entwicklung in den Kleinstädten und in den peripherischen Gebieten hingewiesen. Der Artikel betrifft die Grundzüge und die Ungleichmässigkeiten der Entwicklung. Es wird auf die negativen Entwicklungstendenzen in den peripherischen Gebieten verwiesen, womit sich die staatlichen und regionalen Institutionen beschäftigen sollten.

Title:	Razvoj demografskih in urbanih struktur v Plznu in okolici
Abstract:	Razvoj prebivalstva in naselij v regiji Plzen je neenakomeren. Medtem ko število prebivalcev v mestnem jedru pada, je mogoče zaznati večanje števila novih stanovanj in gospodarsko rast na novih industrijskih območjih v okolici mesta. Zaradi suburbanizacije se število prebivalcev viša v robnih območjih aglomeracije Plzen, predvsem ob cestnih povezavah. Kljub splošni demografski in gospodarski rasti regije Plzen se pojavljajo marginalna območja z neugodnimi demografskimi in ekonomskimi trendi.
