Abstract:
Superprevodnost je lastnost materiala, kjer je v določenih pogojih specifična ohmska upornost enaka nič, kar pa predstavlja prednost v določenih pogledih. Posledica znanstvenih raziskav na področju superprevodnosti materiala, je čedalje večja praktična uporabnost. Na področju prenosnih vodov in kablovodov, je pri naraščanju potreb energije in omejitev konvencionalnih vodov zamenjava toliko primernejša. V določenih pogojih je prednost višjih tokov in manjših izgub prednostni kriterij pred ekonomskim kriterijem varčnega obratovanja in obratno. Smotrnost uporabe superprevodnega kablovoda bodo pokazale študije narejene posebno za izbrane primere.

Title:
Superconducting materials in conventional applications
Abstract:
Superconductivity is the physical property of materials where, in certain conditions, the specific ohmic resistance equals zero, which is an advantage in certain respects. A consequence of scientific research on superconductivity of materials is increasing practicality. In the field of transmission lines and underground cables, the ever increasing energy needs and the limitations of conventional cables make substitution all the more appropriate. In certain conditions, the advantage of higher currents and smaller losses comes before the economic criterion of energy-saving and cost-effective operation, and vice versa. The suitability of using superconducting underground cables will be revealed by studies designed specifically for selected cases.
