Abstract:Terminiranje v proizvodnji je postopek časovnega planiranja del in virov, s ciljem optimizacije procesa proizvodnje.

Title:Comparison of production scheduling methods
Abstract:Production scheduling is a process of arranging works and resources, with the aim of optimizing the production process. The purpose of scheduling is to reduce production time, thereby increasing production efficiency, while reducing the total cost. There are many known methods of sequencing jobs on machines, which can greatly differ from each other. This may cause a dilemma when choosing the most appropriate method for optimization of work process. The aim of diploma is firstly to present the process of scheduling in general, which also includes economic aspect of the process. Afterwards the text focuses on frequently used traditional methods (with the main focus on the priority rules) and their alternative – genetic algorithms. The differences between various methods are described in the last section, with the help of the two examples. By implementing an appropriate genetic algorithm, in some complex cases, the schedule can be shortened, leading to a radical reduction in production costs.
Keywords:production scheduling, operational management of production, production management, priority rules, genetic algorithms
