Abstract:
V teoretičnem delu smo opredelili pojem ergonomija, dovoljene obremenitve v zdravstveni negi in pogostost težav s hrbtenico, analizirali smo razne ergonomsko-tehnične pripomočke, s katerimi si medicinske sestre olajšajo delo pri dvigovanju in premeščanju bolnikov. V empiričnem delu magistrskega dela smo uporabili kvantitativno metodo zbiranja podatkov.

Title:
Ergonomics and stress at the workplace of a nurse in a general hospital
Abstract:
In the master's thesis we analyzed ergonomics and stress at the workplace of a nurse in a general hospital. The purpose of the master's thesis was to investigate the working environment of nurses and to determine if nurses take into account ergonomic principles in their work in order to avoid various health problems. The master's thesis was divided into two parts: theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, we defined the notion of ergonomics, the permissible burden in nursing, the frequency of back problems, and we analyzed various ergonomic technical devices to make nurses easier to handle and lift patients. In the empirical part of the master's thesis we used a quantitative method of data collection. We obtained data from the survey using a survey questionnaire, which was distributed to 40 nurses working in the internal department of the General Hospital, Dr. Jože Potrča Ptuj. Based on the analysis of the data, we found that as many as 85 % of the respondents have problems with the spine, which are related to the nature of their work. The research also shows that the work of the nurse most often uses sliding bases, which make it easier for them to move and lift patients. After calculating the hypothesis, we found that there are no statistically significant differences between the age structure of nurses and the permissible workload in the first hypothesis, while in the second hypothesis we found that nurses differ in terms of length of service on the use of devices for displacement and lifting of patients .Integrating ergonomics into the implementation of the tasks of health care providers in nursing is primarily a way to maintain the health of employees and patients. Employees, as well as employers, should be involved in the planning of the work environment, as employees know the best of their work and know what is safe for them to avoid injuries in the workplace due to overload.
