Title:UGOTAVLJANJE STALIŠČ DO INDUSTRIJSKE KONOPLJE IN DO IZDELKOV IZ INDUSTRIJSKE KONOPLJE

Abstract:Obstaja rek »raste kot konoplja«. In res je tako. Industrijska konoplja je nezahtevna, za rast ne potrebuje posebnih pogojev in je izredno donosna. Uporabimo lahko prav vsak del te rastline. Nekateri izkoriščajo njeno uporabnost, drugi ne. So posamezniki, ki imajo negativna ali pozitivna stališča o tej rastlini. Domnevamo, da ljudje premalo vedo o industrijski konoplji. Potrebno bi bilo ozaveščanje, informiranje in vzpodbuda za vpeljevanje industrijske konoplje v uporabo. Po eni strani se nekateri izogibajo in otepajo industrijske konoplje in izdelkov iz nje, po drugi strani pa je povpraševanje po industrijski konoplji in izdelkih iz nje večje od ponudbe trga. Industrijska konoplja je vir, ki še ni dodobra izkoriščen. Predstavlja tržni potencial. Lahko bi poživila slovensko podeželje. Kmetije bi lahko zaživele, odprla bi se nova delovna mesta. Zaradi vsestranskosti in obetavnosti industrijske konoplje smo se odločili, da v magistrski nalogi raziščemo stališča do industrijske konoplje in do izdelkov iz industrijske konoplje. Takšnih raziskav je malo. Lahko pa pripomorejo k boljšemu izkoristku tržnega potenciala te rastline. V teoretičnem delu magistrske naloge se osredotočamo na industrijsko konopljo, na izdelke iz industrijske konoplje, zgodovino njene uporabe in kako je z njo danes. Predstavljena je tudi ponudba izdelkov iz industrijske konoplje na tujem in slovenskem tržišču. V nadaljevanju je predstavljena definicija stališč, komponente stališč in njihova funkcija ter kako se merijo. V drugem delu magistrske naloge sledi empirična raziskava stališč do industrijske konoplje in do izdelkov iz industrijske konoplje. V tem delu smo za raziskavo uporabili intervju z enim izmed ponudnikov izdelkov iz industrijske konoplje iz Ljutomera. Z intervjujem smo pridobili informacije tudi »iz prve roke«. S pomočjo anket smo raziskali stališča do industrijske konoplje in do izdelkov iz industrijske konoplje. Intervjuvali smo 100 posameznikov, ki smo jih ločili na mlajšo in starejšo populacijo. S pomočjo programa SPSS smo rezultate anketiranja prikazali z opisno statistiko in s t-testi za neodvisna vzorca. Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da so stališča posameznikov do industrijske konoplje in do izdelkov iz nje pozitivna. Posamezniki so slišali za to rastlino. Nekateri jo poznajo bolj, nekateri manj. Res pa je, da bi bilo potrebno več informiranja o tej rastlini in njeni uporabnosti. K večji uporabi industrijske konoplje bi pripomogla boljša dostopnost, pestrost ponudbe, ugodna cena izdelkov, nenehno informiranje in srečevanje z izdelki iz industrijske konoplje.

Title:ATTITUDES TOWARDS INDUSTRIAL HEMP AND PRODUCTS OF INDUSTRIAL HEMP
Abstract:The Slovenian-speaking community uses an idiomatic expression that could be transliterated into English as "to grow like hemp". And this is quite a fact. Industrial hemp is a rather simple plant. It does not require any particular conditions for growth and has a large yield. What is more, any part of the plant is suitable for processing. Some take advantage of its profitability, while others simply disregard it. Some individuals defend a positive point of view about the plant, while others frown upon it. We assume that people lack sufficient knowledge about industrial hemp. It would be necessary to raise awareness, to campaign for and to promote the production of industrial hemp for profitable use. One on hand, some simply ignore the idea of industrial hemp and products made thereof. On the other hand, the demand for industrial hemp and products made thereof is larger than the current market supply. Industrial hemp represents a source of untapped demand with a high marketing potential that could invigorate the Slovenian countryside. Farms could benefit from the production of industrial hemp and new employment opportunities could be generated as a consequence. Due to the versatility and propitiousness of industrial hemp, we chose to research the point of views towards industrial hemp and the products made thereof in the scope of this master's thesis. Such research is scarce despite its potential to maximize the exploitation of the marketing potential of this plant. The theoretical section of the master's thesis focuses on industrial hemp, on products made from industrial hemp, on the history of its use and on the current state of affairs. This section also includes an outline of the offer of industrial hemp products on the foreign and on the Slovenian market, a definition of the point of views, the elements of point of views and their functions, and a description of the approaches towards measuring the point of views. The empirical section of the master's thesis features an analysis of the point of views towards industrial hemp and the products made thereof. For research purposes, this section also includes an interview with a supplier of industrial hemp products from Ljutomer. The interview referred to provided us with firsthand information. The analysed point of views were obtained through a survey. The survey sample included 100 interviewees, which were divided into two groups: the younger population and the older population. The survey results were statistically analysed with SPSS software. They are represented with descriptive statistics and with an independent-samples t-test. The research results have shown that the point of views towards industrial hemp and products made thereof are generally positive. Individual interviewees have previously heard about the plant. Some revealed good knowledge about it, while others were less familiar with it. Furthermore, the research results revealed the need for more information about industrial hemp and its uses, and that the level of industrial hemp use would be increased through better accessibility, a diversified offer, favourable prices for products, regular information campaigns and an increased exposure of industrial hemp products.
