Abstract:Diplomsko delo temelji na opisu kulinaričnih mojstrovin, ki so značilne za občino Šentjernej. Navedene so sestavine za pripravo jedi, ki jih uporabljamo v vsakdanji prehrani za različne praznične jedi ter jedi ob šegah življenjskega cikla. V uvodnem delu diplomskega dela najprej preučimo osnovne pojme, ki so povezani s kulinariko. V nadaljevanju s pomočjo strokovne literature opišemo splošne značilnosti občine, sestavine za pripravo jedi, vsakdanjo hrano, hrano ob praznikih, jedi prazničnega leta ter jedi ob šegah življenjskega cikla. Nato navedemo še hrano ob delih, opišemo lokalne prireditve ter pijače, ki so značilne za omenjeno območje. Vse skupaj nekoliko primerjamo tudi s preteklostjo. V celotnem diplomskem delu smo s pomočjo intervjujev prišli do ugotovitev, da se je večina jedi iz preteklosti ohranila vse do danes. Za nazornejšo predstavitev pa smo uporabili tudi fotografski material.

Title:CULINARY MASTERPIECES OF ŠENTJERNEJ
Abstract:The thesis is based on the description of the culinary masterpieces that are typical in the municipality of Šentjernej. Stated are the ingredients to prepare dishes, which are used in the daily diet for a variety of festive dishes and the customs of life cycle. In the introductory part of the thesis we first examine the basic concepts associated with the cuisine. In the following, with the help of the scientific literature, we describe the general characteristics of the municipality, the ingredients for preparing meals, everyday food, holiday food, festive meals and dishes in the customs of life cycle. We also mention the food at work, we describe a municipal holiday Jernejevo and drinks that are typical for this area. . All this together we compare with the past. Throughout the thesis, where we used data from the interviews, we came to the conclusion that most of the dishes from the past stayed preserved until this day. For a clearer perspective we used photographic material.
