Title:System upgrade of technical diagnostics at Cinkarna Celje, d. d.
Abstract:A manufacturing company depends mostly on continuous and proper functioning of machinery and equipment. It is necessary to pay special attention to the maintenance which should not be viewed as a mere cost. In our company the board of executives and the employees are aware of that. That is why we have the maintenance fully incorporated in the organizational scheme and in the annual financial plan where it functions as an independent department. Our company closely follows technical advancement in the field of machinery and equipment, so as to adjust the system of maintenance by improving the existent diagnostic methods as well as adopting new ones. In this thesis, all seven basic methods are presented on the basis on which preventive maintenance functions: thermography, laser alignment, rotor balancing, leaks detecting in the system of compressed air, the condenser pots handling, vibration measuring, and the control of lubricant. The introduction of technology for diagnosis of vibrations is presented as a project. Furthermore, we also present all the factors relevant in employing new technologies as well as the procedures necessary to implement the project and to reach the final goal: improvement of the diagnosis in detecting malfunctioning of machinery and equipment.
