Abstract:
V diplomskem delu je prikazan postopek kriogene akumulacije energije, kar je dokaj nova in še nerazvita tehnologija. Uporabna je za akumulacijo viškov energije elektrarn, ki obratujejo na obnovljive vire energije. Opisali smo postopke utekočinjanja, shranjevanja in uplinjanja zraka, kjer energijo shranjujemo in jo nato pridobimo nazaj. Preučili smo različne možne postopke in poiskali vir toplote, ki zadostuje potrebam tega postopka, hkrati pa je okolju najbolj prijazen, za kar se je izkazala geotermalna energija. Naredili smo računalniško simulacijo utekočinjanja in uplinjanja zraka s pomočjo programskega paketa Aspen Plus. V računalniških simulacijah smo spreminjali različne parametre in iskali pogoje, ki so najboljši za obratovanje. Ugotovili smo, da ima postopek velik potencial, je okolju najbolj prijazen med do zdaj znanimi procesi akumulacije energije in bi lahko v prihodnosti postal najpogosteje uporabljan postopek shranjevanja energije.

CRYOGENIC ENERGY STORAGE
Abstract:
Bachelor thesis presents process of cryogenic energy storage which is relatively new and undeveloped technology. It is useful for storage of energy surplus in powerplants that run on renewable sources. We described processes of liquefying, storaging and vaporizating of air, where we store energy and then get it back. We studied different processes and searched for the source of heat which suffices the needs of the process and is environmental friendly. It was geothermal energy. We made computer simulation of air liquefaction and vaporization with program package Aspen Plus. In simulations we were changing different parameters and searched for the best operating conditions. We found out that the process has a lot of potential, is most environmental friendly amongst all known energy storage processes. In the future it could be the most used process for energy storage.
