Abstract:
S problematiko komunalnih odpadkov oziroma odpadkov nasploh se srečujemo v vsakem gospodinjstvu. Občina Lenart je bila ena izmed prvih občin na območju tedanje skupne države Jugoslavije, ki je leta 1990 s podjetjem Letnik-Saubermacher pristopila k pilotnem projektu - ločenem zbiranju komunalnih odpadkov po sistemu BioPas (ločevanje odpadkov na biološke odpadke, papir in steklo). Kljub ozaveščanju ljudi, urejenem odvozu komunalnih odpadkov in postavljenih ekoloških otokih se količine komunalnih odpadkov povečujejo tudi na račun divjih odlagališč, kjer ljudje še zmeraj odlagajo odpadke, ki jih pridelajo v gospodinjstvih. Zakonodaja in okoljsko ozaveščanje ljudi, podjetij ter lokalnih skupnosti prispevajo k zmanjševanju nastajanja komunalnih odpadkov. Izdelava okolju in ljudem prijaznih izdelkov zaradi »prijaznih» materialov, ki se lahko vračajo v proizvodne procese oziroma ponovno predelavo, ter usmerjanje v reciklažo namesto v odlaganje odpadkov bo prav tako prispevala k zmanjšanju odpadkov. V vseslovenski akciji »Očistimo Slovenijo v enem dnevu« leta 2010 in »Očistimo Slovenijo« leta 2012 so bila nekatera divja odlagališča očiščena, vendar so še vedno prisotna. Problematika komunalnih odpadkov in ravnanje z njimi me je vzpodbudila, da v občini, ki je prva pristopila k ločenem zbiranju komunalnih odpadkov po sistemu BioPas, preverim zadovoljstvo občanov z ravnanjem z odpadki in problem divjih odlagališč na območju občine Lenart. Ravnanje z odpadki predstavlja oziroma ostaja velik izziv za vse prebivalce oziroma »proizvajalce« odpadkov. Izziv vidimo v spremembi načina razmišljanja o odpadkih, saj v naši družbi še zmeraj velja splošno prepričanje, da se z odpadki naj ukvarjajo tisti, ki so za to plačani.

THE TREATMENT OF MUNICIPAL WASTE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LENART – SATISFACTION OF RESIDENTS WITH WASTE MANAGEMENT
Abstract:
Every household is facing with the problem of municipal waste and waste in general. Lenart, together with company Letnik- Saubermacher, was one of the first municipalities in the area of the former state of Yugoslavia that joined the pilot project of selective collection of municipal waste according to the system BioPas (separation of biological waste, paper and glass). Despite raising awareness and positioned ecological islands, the amount of municipal waste is increasing due to the illegal dumping grounds, where people still landfill waste produced by households. Legislation and environmental awareness of people, companies and local communities contribute to reducing of the municipal waste. Production of eco friendly products, which can be recycled and reused in manufacturing processes, will also lead to waste reduction. In the national environmental campaigns "Let's clean Slovenia in one day" in 2010 and in 2012, some of the illegal dumpsites were cleaned, but they are still present. The problem of municipal waste and its handling prompted me to establish the level of citizens’ satisfaction with public service contractors for waste management and waste management in general, especially in the municipality, which was the first to accede to the separate collection of municipal waste. In general, people in our community still believe that waste handling is the responsibility of those, who are being paid to handle them.
