Abstract:
Namen diplomskega dela je bilo odstranjevanje fosfatnih ionov iz vode z adsorpcijo na sintetizirane nosilce ter primerjava učinkovitosti med alginatnimi nosilci z dodatkom PVA ter imobiliziranimi maghemitnimi nanodelci v alginatnih nosilcih z dodatkom PVA. Tako smo s spreminjanjem različnih parametrov (čas absorpcije, količina nosilcev, količina vezanih maghemitnih nanodelcev, oblika posode) proučevali učinkovitost odstranjevanja fosfatnih ionov z obema vrstama alginatnih nosilcev s PVA. Rezultati odstranjevanja fosfatnih ionov iz vode z obema vrstama nosilcev so pokazali učinkovitost tako maghemitnih PVA- alginatnih nosilcev kot PVA- alginatnih nosilcev brez nanodelcev. Po 20 minutah smo dosegli z 3,94 g maghemitnih PVA- alginatnih nosilcev znižanje koncentracije fosfatnih ionov za 40,3 %, s 3,51 g PVA- alginatnih nosilcev brez maghemitanih nanodelcev pa le 21,5 %. Po 24 urah smo dosegli najvišje znižanje koncentracije fosfatnih ionov v obeh primerih, in sicer 98,5 % z maghemitnimi nanodelci ter 97,9 % brez njih.

Title:
The usage of alginate beads for pollutant removal from water
Abstract:
The purpose of this diploma was to remove phosphate ions from water with adsorption on synthesized beads and comparison of efficiency between alginate beads with addition of PVA and immobilized maghemite nanoparticles in alginate beads with addition of PVA. By changing different parameters (time of adsorption, quantity of beads, quantity of mahgemite nanoparticles, shape of the reactor) we studied the efficiency of phosphate removal with both types of the alginate beads with PVA. The results of phosphate removal from water with both of the beads have showed efficiency of maghemite PVA- alginate beads and of PVA- alginate beads without nanoparticles. The decrease of phosphate ions after 20 minutes with 3,94 g maghemite PVA- alginate beads was 40,3 % and with 3,51 g PVA- alginate beads without nanoparticles only 21,5 %. The best results were achieved with both types of beads after 24 hours of phosphate adsorption: 98,5 % with maghemite nanoparticles and 97,9 % without them.
