Abstract:Doživke spadajo med eno izmed najbolj ogroženih skupin vretenčarjev. Takšno točko, kjer cesta prečka selitveno pot in kjer prihaja do množičnih povozov imenujemo črna točka.

Title:Attention, amphibians on the road - Monitorin of amphibians on the black spot along the lake Ledavsko jezero
Abstract:Amphibians (Amphibia) are among one of the most endangered species in the world due to man’s interference affecting their natural habitat in several different ways. Road building can dramatically hurt the population because it usually intersects the migration route to the breeding waters. Such a spot, where a road crosses a migration route resulting in mass amphibian road mortality, is called a »black spot«. Awareness about the threats to amphibians is rising thus making the information about the ‘black spots’ and ways of rescuing the amphibians to be on the rise as well. The purpose of this graduation thesis is to list the species and the number of live amphibians that cross the road, stop at the protective net and use passages at the road section Cankova – Kuzma by the lake Ledavskojezero and determine the effect of the nets on the number of the amphibians between the years 2005 and 2011. The results showed that there are six different species present in the area around the lake Ledavsko jezero: European Common Toad (Bufobufo), Agile Frog (Rana dalmatina), European Common Frog (Rana temporaria), Water Frog (Phelophylax spp.), European Tree frog (Hylaarborea), Smooth Newt (Lissotriton vulgaris) and the Italian Crested Newt (Trituruscarnifex). The results also showed that the number of amphibians which stopped at the net increased from 3934 in the year 2005 to 6294 in the year 2011. Moreover, the number of the amphibians which used the passages to cross the road increased from 1483 in the year 2005 to 1706 in the year 2011. Based on these results I can conclude that the temporary protective net along with the passages help to maintain the population of the amphibians
