Abstract:
V diplomskem delu smo proučevali prenovo procesa proizvodnje serviet v podjetju Paloma d. d. Po predstavljenih teoretičnih izhodiščih smo najprej izdelali posnetek stanja proizvodnje serviet pred prenovo. Ugotovili smo, da je bilo v podjetju veliko strojev že precej zastarelih, kar je posledično načenjalo tudi konkurenčni položaj podjetja. V podjetju so se omenjene problematike lotili na dva načina. Prvi ukrep je bil modernizacija obstoječe proizvodne linije 9. Drugi pomembnejši ukrep pa je bil vzpostavitev popolnoma nove proizvodne linije. Podjetje je z omenjenima ukrepoma bistveno izboljšalo ekonomiko proizvodnje serviet. Poleg boljše ekonomike proizvodnje serviet je podjetje lahko še začelo proizvajati tržno zanimivejše produkte, pri katerih je dosegalo boljše marže, kar je kar šestkrat povečalo dobičkonosnost konfekcije serviet.

Title:
RENOVATION OF THE NAPKINS PRODUCTION PROCESS IN THE PALOMA D.D.
Abstract:
In this thesis, we studied the renovation process of sanitary napkin production in the company Paloma d. d. According to the presented theoretical frameworks, we first created a snapshot of the production of napkins before renovation. We found that the company had been using a lot of machines which were already quite obsolete, which consequently harmed the competitive position of the company. The company has tackled this problem in two ways. The first action was to modernize the existing production line 9. Another, far more critical measure was the establishment of a completely new production line, which drastically improved economics of the napkin production. In addition to the improved economics of the napkin production, the company may have begun to produce commercially more attractive products that allowed higher margins, which consequentially boosted profitability of napkin sector by six times.
