Title:NAMESTITVENE ZMOGLJIVOSTI ZA MLADE V SLOVENIJI NA PRIMERU INTERNATIONAL HOSTELLING FEDERATION (IHF)

Abstract:V diplomski nalogi smo obravnavali namestitvene zmogljivosti za mlade v mreži Hostelling International Slovenia. Namen naloge je bil opisati nočitvene zmogljivosti za mlade, opraviti celostni pregled in opis hostlov znotraj mreže HIS ter pripraviti analizo gibanja števila namestitvenih zmogljivosti in opravljenih nočitev za obdobje desetih let za hostle v mreži HIS in Slovenijo. Poleg tega smo predstavili mladinski turizem, International Youth Hostel Federation in Popotniško združenje Slovenije v okviru IYHF. Z metodo deskripcije, kompilacije, komparacije, klasifikacije, analize, sinteze in generalizacije smo na koncu podali trende in perspektive na področju mladinskih prenočišč ter ovrednotili pomen mladinskih prenočišč za slovenski turizem. Prišli smo do ugotovitve, da se je v Sloveniji v zadnjih desetih letih povečalo število mladinskih nočitvenih zmogljivosti kakor tudi število opravljenih nočitev v mladinskih prenočiščih. Ugotovili smo tudi, da mladinska prenočišča predstavljajo pomembno vlogo v sistemu nočitvenih zmogljivosti v Sloveniji. Vsi pridobljeni podatki kažejo na nadaljnjo rast namestitvenih zmogljivosti in opravljenih nočitev v hostlih v Sloveniji ter nadaljnjo rast mladinskega turizma

Title:ACCOMMODATION CAPACITY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN SLOVENIA BASED ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE INTERNATIONAL HOSTELLING FEDERATION (IHF)
Abstract:In this graduation thesis we discuss accommodation capacity for youth in the Hostelling International Slovenia network. The purpose of the paper is to describe the capacity for overnight stays for youth, perform a comprehensive review and description of the hostels within the HIS network and analyze accommodation capacity and overnight stay fluctuation for the ten-year period for the hostels within the HIS network and for Slovenia. We also describe youth tourism, the International Youth Hostel Federation and Popotniško združenje Slovenije in the IYHF framework. We employ the methods of description, compilation, comparison, classification, analysis, synthesis and generalization to present the trends and possibilities in the area of youth hostels and evaluate the importance of youth hostels to Slovenian tourism. We come to the conclusion that in the last ten years the youth accommodation capacity in Slovenia as well as the number of overnight stays in youth hostels have increased. We also discover that youth hostels play an important role in the system of accommodation capacity in Slovenia. All gathered data point to a further increase of accommodation capacity and overnight stays in hostels in Slovenia and the further growth of youth tourism.
