Abstract:Paliativna zdravstvena nega je ključni del paliativne onkološke oskrbe. Osrednjo vlogo imata pacient in njegova družina. Kakovostno paliativno oskrbo se lahko zagotovi le s sinhronim delovanjem vseh članov paliativnega tima, še posebej medicinskih sester. Namen diplomskega dela je predstaviti paliativno zdravstveno nego in oskrbo onkoloških pacientov v terminalni fazi življenja in opredeliti vlogo medicinske sestre na področju onkološke paliativne zdravstvene nege.

Title:PALLIATIVE CARE OF THE END-STAGE CANCER PATIENTS
Abstract:Palliative nursing care is the crucial part of palliative cancer care. Patient and his family members are playing the key role. High quality palliative care can only be provided with synchronous work of all members of the palliative team, especially the nurses. The purpose of the diploma thesis is to introduce palliative nursing care and palliative care of cancer patients in the terminal phase of life and to define the role of nurses in the palliative cancer and nursing care setting.
