Abstract:V nalogi je prikazana smotrnost prehoda iz klasičnega na virtualizirani informacijski sistem. Na podlagi virov in študije primera smo pokazali, da je virtualizacija racionalna odločitev za podjetja, ki želijo izboljšati kakovost svoje informacijske podpore poslovanju in poslovni dejavnosti. Z uvedbo virtualizacije se znižajo stroški obratovanja informacijskih sistemov. S prehodom na virtualizirani informacijski sistem je proučevano podjetje zaradi naštetih lastnosti v kratkem času povrnilo svojo investicijo. Izboljšal se je pregled nad dogajanjem v informacijskem sistemu ter podpora poslovnim procesom in poenostavilo upravljanje strežniškega sistema.

Title:ENSURING SAFE OPERATIONS WITH MODERNIZATION OF THE INFORMATION SYSTEM
Abstract:The thesis shows the efficiency of the transition from classical to virtualized information system. On the basis of resources and case studies, we have shown that virtualization is rational decision for companies who want to improve the quality of its IT support operations and business activities. With the introduction of virtualization we reduce operatings costs of information systems. Our studied company has refunded investement, because of its qualities, in very short notice. They have improved overview over events in the information system, support to all the business processes is greater and simplified the management of server system.
