Abstract:
V empiričnem delu so predstavljeni rezultati raziskave.

Title:
EATING HABITS AND SPORTS ACTIVITY OF PRESCHOOLERS
Abstract:
ABSTRACT This undergraduate thesis titled Eating Habits and Sports Activities of Preschoolers shows the connection between sports activities and the eating habits of preschool children. The purpose of the thesis is to discover what kind of eating habits children who go to kindergarten have, what is the role of their parents in this regard, how often children are physically active outside of kindergarten and what are their activities. The theoretical part was divided into two parts, nutrition and motor activities. The section on nutrition describes healthy nutrition, the nutrition of preschool children and organising nutrition in kindergartens in Celje, and the section on motor activities describes the motor abilities of children, motor development, motor activities as part of the curriculum for kindergartens, the affect of food on the motor development of children and organised motor and sports activities for the preschool children in Celje. The empirical section introduces the study results. 50 parents of preschool children participated in the research sample. Based on the data on the weight and height of children, we discovered that the majority of children have normal body weight considering the body mass index. We discovered that children who go to kindergarten in Celje eat healthily and that their parents know the consequences of unhealthy and improper eating habits. Parents perform physical activities with their children at least 2–3 times a week and the majority of children also attend organised training.
