Abstract:
Tema diplomskega dela je preučiti možnost ocenjevanja velikosti rastlin s pomočjo digitalnih posnetkov zajetih z običajnim digitalnim fotoaparatom. Ti sceno digitalizirajo in jo predstavijo v slikovnem prostoru, kjer metrični podatki niso več neposredno dostopni, se pa ohranijo razmerja velikosti. V kolikor sta za izbrano sceno na voljo dve takšni slikovni predstavitvi, lahko določimo metrične lastnosti, vendar morata biti znani medsebojna oddaljenost in zorni kot kamere. Postopek v delu je razdeljen na dve fazi. V prvi je slikanje opravljeno v zaprtem prostoru, v drugi pa v naravnem okolju. V prvem je z namenom ocenitve parametrov postopka opravljenih več iteracij slikanja z 0,25 m medsebojno razdaljo, v drugem pa po dve z 1 m medsebojne razdalje. Rezultati meritev kažejo, da je natančnost predstavljenega postopka le malenkostno nad zastavljeno mejo 5 %.

DIGITAL IMAGE BASED PLANT HEIGHT ASSESMENT
Abstract:
The topic of the thesis concerns the assessment of plant height with the use of digital snapshots taken by a common digital camera. By using them a transformation to image space is made where metric data can no longer be meassured, but the ratios are still preserved. So, when dealing with two such snapshots where the inbetween distance is known, as well as the viewing angle of the camera, the metric data can be calculated. The work is devidev into two phases. The first phase of the shooting took place in controlled and in the second in uncontrolled, natural environment. In order to determine the parameters more itertions with 0.25 m inbetween distance is made in contrast to second phase, where only 2 iterations with 1 m inbetween distance is made. The results show that the accuracy of the present process, only slightly above the set limit of 5 %.
