Osnovni koncepti so populacija, vzorci, vzorčenje in verjetnost domnev.

Title:The statistical exercises in biodiversity
Abstract:The theme of the diploma thesis was to write some useful exercises for students of biodiversity. Biodiversity refers to the species, their genetic characteristics and ecosystems. In simple terms a number of different kinds of organisms living in a particular area and the diversity of ecosystems of a region. All together it is linked to the statistical background. Statistical methods are based on probability theory. Basic concepts are the population, samples, sampling and probability assumptions. The starting point for statistical work is the collection of data, either through survey or through systematic observation, followed by summarizing using descriptive statistics. Also, the exercises appear inferential statistics, developing methods of statistical inference. The data processing of the population sample, I have gained from books, the internet, professional articles ... The main purpose of the exercises is to display data preparation, data processing and presentation of results. The project combines mathematics content, namely combinatorics, probability, probability calculus, descriptive and inferential statistics ... to content of biodiversity. For some exercises, I also included computer skills.
