Abstract:

Title:
The future of packaging made of biodegradable plastics
Abstract:
Today we can not imagine life without packaging. In logistics, packaging can be treated as an integral part of the logistics system. This can be paper, glass or plastic, its main purpose is that it is packed with food products, beverages, toys, medicines, large household and technical appliances and much more. In the world of packaging, biodegradable plastics are more and more occurring. It is rapidly degraded in the environment, but that does not mean that you can throw it in the nature with no conscience. In the theoretical part of master's thesis, we have defined the basic concepts of packaging, decomposition and biodegradability, bioplastics and biodegradable plastics. All this was defined with the help of the scientific literature. In the empirical part of the master's thesis, we have looked at the market analysis of biodegradable plastics in the world, European and Slovenian market trends and forecasts for biodegradable plastics. We've carried out a survey to show current situation. We have also included two Slovenian companies that deal with selling biodegradable plastic. Based on the data obtained, we will present the solutions and opportunities for further development in the end.
