Abstract:V preglednem članku opisujemo vrste in lastnosti najpomembnejših toplotnoizolacijskih materialov, smisel in pomembnost pravilnega izoliranja kot tudi ključne kriterije za določitev optimalne izolacije. Poleg pravilne izbire ustreznega toplotnoizolacijskega materiala je potrebno vselej sistematično pristopiti tudi k izračunu debeline izolacijskega sloja. Med toplotnoizolacijskimi materiali je dan večji poudarek trdim poliuretanskim (PUR) penam. Za izboljšanje kakovosti trdih PUR pen je potrebno dobro poznavanje zakonitosti prenosa toplote skozi njihovo porozno strukturo, kar omogoča doseganje nizkih vrednosti toplotne prevodnosti. Podani so tudi izrazi za določitev efektivne toplotne prevodnosti, kakor tudi možnosti substitucije penilcev in recikliranja pri proizvodnji PUR pen.

Title:Review and criteria for choosing thermal insulation materials
Abstract:The aim of our paper is to show the role and the significance of proper use of thermal insulation materials. We discuss different criteria for choosing the most proper insulation as well as the importance of the determination of economic thickness of insulation layer. Among many different insulation materials rigid polyurethane foam is distinguished as one of the most efficient. In order to improve the quality of such foamed material a good knowledge of the heat transfer phenomenon in its porous structure is necessary. We also discuss about some possibilities of freon substitution and polyurethane foam recycling.
