Abstract:
Kmetijstvo je bilo in je še vedno ena izmed najpomembnejših panog, saj omogoča posamezniku preživetje. Skozi čas je ta panoga doživela izjemen napredek. Spomnimo se, kako pomembno je bilo odkritje Amerike, saj so v Evropo prišle poljščine, ki so ljudi nahranile in pregnale lakoto. Ljudje so si z različnimi iznajdbami lajšali delo in kmetovanje je postajalo vedno hitrejše in donosnejše. Gre za eno izmed panog, ki je v kratkem času dosegla zelo velik napredek. Še pred nekaj leti je skoraj vsaka hiša na vasi imela živino, ljudje so obdelovali zemljo, kljub temu, da so bili redno zaposleni. Te pridelke so porabili, če pa so jih pridelali več, so jih prodali in še zaslužili. Kmetije so bile skromne, tudi mehanizacije ni bilo v izobilju, tako, da so si kmetje priskočili na pomoč in nesebično opravili potrebno delo. Takšne kmetije so se skozi čas začele opuščati, saj je začela prevladovati logika, da se to »ne izplača« in je bolje, da pridelke oz. izdelke kupimo v trgovini. V diplomskem delu želimo predstaviti kmetijstvo kot razvojno možnost občine Grad. Občina Grad leži na skrajnem severovzhodnem delu Slovenije. Na območju občine je kmetijstvo še vedno ena izmed najbolj pomembnih gospodarskih dejavnosti, na katero se vežejo tudi dopolnilne dejavnosti, katere bi lahko bile bolj razširjene, inovativnejše in s tem finančno bolj donosne. Moramo se zavedati, da so dopolnilne dejavnosti tiste, s katerimi bi lahko razširili ekonomsko bazo in dvignili kazalce gospodarske razvitosti v občini Grad. Poudarek bomo namenili različnih oblikah kmetijstva, s katerimi bi želeli doseči cilje, ki smo si jih zastavili.

AGRICULTURE AS DEVELOPMENTAL POSSIBILITY OF MUNICIPIALITY GRAD
Abstract:
Agriculture was and still is one of the most important branches, as it allows individual's survival. Over the years the branch has experienced remarkable progress. We all know how important was the discovery of America, when in Europe came crops that fed the people and dispelled hunger. People invented several things and farming became faster and more profitable. It is one of the brances that has in a short time made very big progress. A few years ago almost every house in the village had livestock, people cultivated the land, despite the fact that they have been regularly employed. The crops were used, and if they produce more, they sold it and earned some money. Farms were usually modest, with little machinery, so that farmers unselfishly helped each other. Such farms started to disappear over time, as it began to dominate the logic that it isn't profitable enough and it is better to buy products in the store. In my diploma work I want to present agriculture as a developmental opportunity in municipality Grad. The municipality Grad lies in the north-eastern part of Slovenia. In the area agriculture is still one of the most important economic activities, which are connected to the complementary activities that could be more widespread, more innovative and thus more financially profitable. We must be aware that complementary activities are those that could expand the economic base and raise the indicators of economic development in the municipality Grad. The emphasis will be given to various forms of agriculture, with which we would like to achieve the goals we have set to ourselves.
