Uporabili smo kvantitativno in deskriptivno metodo dela.

Title:EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF NURSES IN THE PSYCHIATRIC FIELD
Abstract:Education and training nursing care is an ongoing process that includes training for obtaining a license, clinical experience, specialistic and life-long education and training. Knowledge and skills of psychiatric nurses required to perform the work and not entirely the same as those required in general practice nursing. Training and education of psychiatric nurses in institutional care promotes quality nursing care for residents with mental illness and improves job satisfaction. If we want quality, nursing care by psychiatric nurses, it is necessary to continuous professional education, so that we can follow the new challenges and successes in this area. The purpose of the diploma is to present the education and training of nurses in the psychiatric field and with a survey to determine where and how nurses acquire the necessary knowledge in the field of psychiatric nursing. We used quantitative and descriptive method. Data for the research we collected through an anonymous survey. Survey compiled based on read domestic and foreign professional literature. The results showed that the Slovenian space required postgraduate studies in the field of psychiatric nursing. Respondents upon entering the workplace need additional knowledge from the fields of psychiatry, because the current education system does not allow specialization or deepen their knowledge in the field of psychiatry. The most appropriate method for the acquisition of new knowledge seems to be surveyed method of studying the problems, practical workshops and group work. The high proportion of nursing care staff do not have adequate training in psychiatric nursing. There is a high probability that without job training and continuous delivery of education, new skills will not be accepted, understood and implemented in practice. Therefore, it is necessary to provide training and education in psychiatric institutions and to provide post-graduate studies in psychiatric nursing.
