Title:OPTIMIZACIJA OPTIČNIH LASTNOSTI DEKORATIVNEGA OMETA ZA NOTRANJO UPORABO

Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo optimizirali formulacijo disperznega dekorativnega ometa (NDO) za notranjo uporabo. V raziskavi smo iskali vzrok za nezadostno belino, ki je posledica izrazitega rumenega podtona notranjega dekorativnega ometa. Znani so številni razlogi za pojav rumenega podtona v premazih. V diplomskem delu smo se osredotočili na prispevek titanovega dioksida (TiO2). Na trgu je na voljo veliko različic TiO2, ki se razlikujejo po postopku izdelave, čistosti, površinski obdelavi, velikosti delcev, kristalni strukturi (rutil, anataz), kar vse vpliva tudi na optične lastnosti premaza. V prvem delu diplomskega dela smo optimizirali optične lastnosti NDO z TiO2 rutilne kristalne strukture proizvedenem po sulfatnem postopku. Najprej smo preverili, kako na belino in rumen podton vpliva vsebnost TiO2 v formulaciji. Nato smo ugotavljali, kako na belino in rumen podton vpliva čas dispergiranja. V drugem delu raziskave smo testirali optične lastnosti NDO z drugimi tipi TiO2, in sicer rutilom proizvedenem po kloridnem postopku in anatazom proizvedenem po sulfatnem postopku. V zadnjem delu raziskave smo rumen podton poizkušali izničiti z dodajanjem modrega pigmenta. Optične lastnosti smo merili s spektrofometrom, vzorce pa pregledali tudi vizualno. Vse štiri možnosti smo na koncu primerjali in izbrali ekonomsko in tehnično najprimernejšo rešitev.

Title:OPTIMIZATION OF SYNTHETIC RESIN PLASTER FORMULATION FOR INDOOR USE
Abstract:In this thesis, we optimized formulation of decorative plaster for interior use (DPIU). Reasons for the yellow undertone and hence the lack of whiteness of DPIU were investigated. There are many reasons known for the appearance of a yellow undertone in coatings. In this thesis, we focused on the contribution of titanium dioxide (TiO2). There are many sorts of TiO2 available on the market, which differ in manufacturing process, purity, surface treatment, particle size and crystalline structure, all of which affect the optical properties of the plaster. In the first part of this study rutile type of TiO2 manufactured by sulphate synthesis was investigated. Differences in whiteness and yellow undertone of DPIU caused by different TiO2 content and dispersing time were observed. In second part two alternative types (rutile, chloride synthesis and anatse, sulphate synthesis) of TiO2 were investigated. In the last part of the study we tried to eliminate the yellow undertone by adding blue pigment. The optical properties were measured with a spectrophotometer, and also visually. All four options are finally compared and selected according to economic and technical aspects.
