Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo predstavili pljučnega raka, pri čemer smo opisali dejavnike za nastanek te bolezni, znake in odkrivanje raka, zdravljenje in kako pripomorejo medicinske sestre k boljši osveščenosti ljudi o raku pljuč. Raziskavo smo opravili v občini Sveti Jurij v Slovenskih goricah. V raziskavi je sodelovalo 50 ljudi. Kot instrument raziskovanja smo uporabili anketni vprašalnik, ki je vseboval 13 vprašanj. Rezultati v izvedeni anketi so pokazali, da je 82% ljudi seznanjenih z rakom pljuč. 86% jih pozna, kdo pogosteje zboleva za to boleznijo. Ugotovili smo, da so anketiranci bili najbolj seznanjeni o raku pljuč preko medijev, 46%, in najmanj preko medicinskih sester, samo 2%. Ljudje že vedo o bolezni rak pljuč, vendar še vedno dobijo premalo informacij od zdravstvenega osebja. Rak pljuč je še zmeraj ena od najpogostejših bolezni pri nas. Glavni vzrok za nastanek je kajenje. Rezultati naše raziskave so pokazali, da se ljudje zavedajo in poznajo, kaj raka povzroča. Glede na pridobljene podatke so ljudje še zmeraj premalo osveščeni o raku pljuč od zdravnikov in medicinskih sester.

Title:AWARENESS OF PEOPLE ABOUT LUNG CANCER
Abstract:In this thesis work we presented the lung cancer, in which case we described factors for causing cancer, cancer detection, treatment and how nurses contribute for better awareness among people about lung cancer. A survey was done in the municipality of Sveti Jurij v Slovenskih goricah. The study involved 50 people. As an instrument of research, we used the survey questionnaire, which contained 13 questions.The results of the survey showed that 82% people are familiar with lung cancer. 86% of them know who often gets sick for this disease. We have found out that most respondents were aware of lung cancer through the media 46% and only 2% by nurses. People are already familiar with lung cancer, but they still receive insufficient information from medical personnel.Lung cancer is still one of the most common diseases in Slovenia. The main cause for formation is smoking. The results of our research have shown that people are aware of lung cancer and that they know what causes cancer. According to the results of the survey, people are still insufficiently knowledgeable about lung cancer from doctors and nurses.
