Abstract:
V današnjem času ima že skoraj vsak dom ali podjetje v svoje lokalno omrežje povezanih več omrežnih naprav, kot so osebni računalniki, tiskalniki, stikala ali usmerjevalniki. Da te naprave delujejo brezhibno in da morebitne napake hitro lociramo in odpravimo, moramo le-te nenehno nadzorovati. V diplomskem delu je predstavljen mobilni operacijski sistem Android, razvojno okolje Android Studio in protokol SNMP ter z njim povezane tehnologije. Za praktični del diplomskega dela je bila izdelana mobilna aplikacija za Android SNMP NetMon, ki je namenjena nadzoru naprav povezanih v manjša lokalna omrežja. Na koncu pa so podane možnosti nadaljnje izbolšave in nadgradnje aplikacije, katere so bile ugotovljene med testiranjem in uporabo.

Title:
ANDROID-BASED TOOL FOR MONITORING NETWORK DEVICES WITH SNMP
Abstract:
Nowadays, nearly in every home or small company multiple network devices like personal computers, printers, switches or routers connected to the local area network are found. These devices must be continuously monitored to operate smoothly and to quickly locate and resolve any potential error. The thesis introduces Android mobile operating system, Android Studio IDE and SNMP protocol with related technologies. Android-based mobile application called SNMP NetMon was developed in the practical part of the thesis. The application is used for monitoring network devices connected to a small local area networks. At the end possible further improvements and upgrades of the application are also mentioned, based on the results during testing and usage.
