Abstract:
Namen diplomske naloge je prikazati problem dela z odpadki, še posebej pa delo z nevarnimi odpadki, in trenutno stanje na odlagališču nenevarnih odpadkov Pragersko. Podana je količina odpadkov iz leta 1999 v primerjavi z letom 2010. S pomočjo ankete se je izvedlo poizvedovanje, kakšna je osveščenost krajanov v občinah Makole, Poljčane, Oplotnica in Slovenska Bistrica. Na podlagi ugotovitev lahko sklepamo, kakšna je osveščenost med odraslimi in da je na šolah potrebno dodatno izobraževanje o tematiki odpadkov. Če se starejša populacija ne zaveda škodljivega onesnaževanja okolja in posledično uničevanja ekosistema, tudi otroci ne morejo temu primerno delovati.

Title:
Waste management and environmental protection
Abstract:
The purpose of the thesis is to show the problem in waste management, especially in handling hazardous waste, and the current state of the landfill for non-hazardous waste in Pragersko. The thesis includes the report on the amount of waste from 1999, which is compared to the amount of waste from 2010. A survey was carried out, in order to inquire the awareness of the inhabitants in the municipality of Makole, Poljčane, Oplotnica and Slovenska Bistrica. Based on the findings, we can conclude the awareness among adults, and that schools need additional education when it comes to the topic of waste management. If the older population is unaware of the harm of environmental pollution and consecutive destruction of the ecosystem, the children also cannot handle the problem properly and are unaware of the proper procedures.
