Uporabili smo sistem induktivno sklopljene plazme z masnim spektrometrom (ICP-MS). Analizni postopek smo izvedli na tri različne načine: razklop s klorovodikovo kislino, razklop z zlatotopko v mikrovalovni pečici in razklop z dušikovo kislino ob prisotnosti živosrebrovega nitrata. Dobljene rezultate smo primerjali z rezultati dobljenimi z optičnim emisijskim spektrometrom.

Title:DETERMINATION OF SELECTED ELEMENTS IN THE ALUMINIUM AND ALUMINIUM ALLOYS USING ICP-MS METHOD
Abstract:A basic method for the analysis aluminium and aluminium alloys in Talum Institute Ltd. is the optical emission spectrometry (OES), which is the accredited method in laboratory. When this method is not possible to use for the analysis, the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry should be used. The aim of the thesis was the determination of selected elements in electrolytic aluminium samples. We used the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). With the research, a waste water method and an emission method, which are already introduced in Talum Institute Ltd. can also be extended for the analysis of the electrolytic aluminium. For the analytical procedure three different digestion method were used, namely: the digestion with hydrochloric acid, the digestion with aqua regia and the digestion with nitric acid with mercury as a catalyst. Results by using the ICP-MS were compared with the results obtained by using the OES. Based on the measurements with the ICP-MS, some parameters of validation were also determined. First the Grubbs-Becket tests were used to determine outliners. We also checked the repeatability of the method and compared the results obtained with three different digestion method.
