Abstract:
Razvoj informatike je vplival na temeljito spremembo organiziranosti in načina poslovanja organizacije ter vodi v prestrukturiranje na vseh ravneh poslovanja. Razvoj informatike nam prinaša pozitivne spremembe kot so zmanjšanje stroškov poslovanja, konkurenčnost, podpora pri odločanju, izboljšano komuniciranje, pomoč pri vodenju in še marsikaj drugega. Z informacijsko tehnologija smo pridobili možnost shranjevanja, obdelave, analize večjih količin podatkov. Vse te spremembe nam sporočajo, da informacijski sistemi, informacijska tehnologija in informatika nasploh imajo pozitivne vplive na uspešnost podjetja. V diplomskem projektu z naslovom Vpliv informatike na uspešnost podjetja sem najprej natančno predstavila pojme kot so informacija, informacijski sistem ter informacijska tehnologija. Predstavila sem informacijske sisteme v podjetjih ter opisala kakšni so procesi, kakšni so sestavni deli informacijskih sistemov in čemu služijo. Nekoliko podrobneje sem predstavila vrste informacijskih sistemov. V zadnjem delu pa sem se lotila vprašanja kakšen vpliv ima informatika na podjetje, kakšne izboljšave prinaša. Spraševala sem se tudi ali so vsi vplivi pozitivni ali obstajajo tudi negativni vplivi. Ter prišla do zaključka, da informatika, informacijski sistemi in informacijska tehnologija kljub določenim negativnim vplivom, pozitivno vpliva na uspešnost podjetja, njegovo poslovanje in razvoj.

THE IMPACT OF INFORMATICS ON COMPANY PERFORMANCE
Abstract:
The development of information technology has influenced fundamental changes in the way we organize and do business and is leading into reconstruction of every business level . The development of information technology brings us positive changes such as reducing operating costs, competitiveness, decision making support, improved communication, management assistance and much more. With the information technology we gain the ability of storing, processing, and analyzing large amounts of data. All these changes tell us that information systems, information technology and informatics in general have a positive impact on company success. In the graduate project entitled The impact of informatics on company performance I firstly presented terms such as information, information systems and information technology. I presented the information systems in companys and described processes, components of information systems and what they are for. In more details I presented types of information systems. In the last part I tackled the issue of the impact informatics have on a company and what improvements does it bring. I also asked myself whether all the effects are positive or are there some negative. I came to the conclusion that informatics, information systems and information technology despite some negative parts have positive impact on the success of the company and on success of their operations and development.
