Abstract:
Odpadki in odpadna embalaža so v današnjih časih velik problem povsod okoli nas, zato je zelo pomembno, kako bomo v prihodnosti z njimi ravnali. V diplomskem delu bomo predstavili embalažo vse od njenih nastankov in uporabe v zgodovini, do spreminjanja in izboljševanja v današnjem času. V nadaljevanju se bomo lotili še že vsem dobro poznane reciklaže. V drugi polovici diplomskega dela se bomo posvetili naslovni temi tega diplomskega dela, torej upcyclingu. Naredili bomo primerjavo upcyclinga in reciklaže, razložili in pojasnili, kaj upcycling sploh je, prikazali bomo tudi primere uporabe tega načina izrabljanja odpadkov iz tujine in poiskali redke primere upcyclinga v Sloveniji.

Abstract:
Garbage and used package waste in our times are a big problem everywhere around us. That's why it is very important how we will treat them in the future. In this thesis, we will write about package, from its beginnings and usage in history, and its changes and improvments till today. Later on, we will write about the good known topic of recycling. In the second part of this thesis, we will put our focus towards the main topic, upcycling. We'll compare upcycling with recycling, explain, what upcycling is and show some examples of this type of waste usage from abroda. We will also find some rare cases of upcycling in Slovenia.
