Abstract:
Cilj diplomske naloge je predstaviti novejši tehnološki postopek pridobivanja električne energije s sončnimi celicami in oceniti potencialno količino energije, ki bi jo takšen postopek prinesel. V prvem delu diplomske naloge so predstavljeni postopki za izboljšanje učinkovitosti fotovoltaične proizvodnje električne energije, ki zajemajo sledenje sončnemu sevanju, koncentriranje svetlobe na aktivno površino in uporabo večspojnih celic za izkoriščanje sončne energije. Drugi del diplomske naloge zajema analizo proizvodnje električne energije z uporabo sledljivih večspojnih koncentriranih fotovoltaičnih elementov za lokacijo Maribor. Analiza je bila izvedena za meseca julij in december, ki veljata za najbolj in najmanj s soncem obsevan mesec v letu. Za primerjavo je navedena količina električne energije, ki bi jo v istem času dosegla proizvodnja električne energije z uporabo komercialnih silicijevih monokristaliničnih sončnih celic

Title:
PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY WITH CONCENTRATED PHOTOVOLTAIC ELEMENTS
Abstract:
The aim of this diploma work is to present newer technology of electrical energy production using solar cells and to estimate potential of energy, produced with new technology. The first part of this work presents the processes which improve efficiency of photovoltaic electrical energy production. These processes are: Sun tracking, usage of optical elements to concentrate Sun power and usage of multijunction photovoltaic cells. The second part includes the analysis of electrical energy production using Sun tracking, concentrated light and multijunction solar cells for location Maribor. The analysis was made for July and December, months with the highest and the lowest light energy. Production of electrical energy using commercial single crystal silicon cells was estimated for comparison.
