Abstract:
V magistrskem delu smo s sistematičnim pristopom in podrobno analizo ugotavljali vsebnosti nitratov v pitni vodi v občini Apače od januarja 2000 do decembra 2013. Leta 2010, 2011, 2012 so znotraj dovoljenih vrednosti. Konec leta 2013 pa ponovno zaznamo naraščanje nitratov v pitni vodi v občini Apače.

Title:
THE QUALITY OF DRINKING WATER IN APAČE MUNICIPALITY
Abstract:
Introduction: Nitrates are typical modern pollutants that burden the groundwater, and consequently drinking water. The allowed concentration of nitrates (NO3) in drinking water is 50 mg/l. The master's degree thesis uses a systematical approach and thorough analysis to reveal the degree of nitrates in drinking water of municipality Apače from January 2000 until December 2013. Methodology: In our master's degree thesis we have carried out the comparison of nitrates according to the years, we have calculated minimal and maximal values of nitrates in drinking water according to months in order to establish whether the condition is improving and what to expect in the future. Results: We found the highest average value of nitrates in drinking water in 2005, namely 73,5 mg/l. The lowest value with 14 mg/l was noted in December 2004, and the highest in July 2005 with 97,0 mg/l. Conclusion: Based on the analysis of nitrates in drinking water we have found out that the nitrates values exceed in 2003, then highly increase until 2006, fall down in 2007, and then exceed again in 2009. In the years 2010, 2011, and 2012 the values are within the allowed limits. At the end of 2013 the increase of nitrates in drinking water is noted again.
