Abstract:
Diplomsko delo temelji na teoretičnih vsebinah, uporabljena pa je deskriptivna metoda dela s pomočjo slovenske in tuje literature. V diplomskem delu so pregledane definicije kompetenc, kakšne so kompetence v zdravstveni negi, definirano je, kdo je medicinska sestra, kakšen je obseg kompetenc diplomirane medicinske sestre/diplomiranega zdravstvenika, kdo je reševalec ter delo v nujni medicinski pomoči. Opredeljene so kompetence diplomiranih medicinskih sester v evropskem prostoru in njihove možne nadgraditve. Z diplomskim delom smo želeli opozoriti na problematiko preseganja kompetenc reševalcev v nujni medicinski pomoči.

COMPETENCIES OF PARAMEDICS IN EMERGENCY HEALTH SERVICES
Abstract:
This thesis is based on the theoretical content using the descriptive method of work with Slo-venian and foreign literature. It examines the definition of competences, especially compe-tences in health care, defines who a nurse is and the scope of competences of a licensed nur-se. It also defines who is a paramedic and the work of emergency medical services as well as what skills nurses possess in some European and American countries and how they can be upgraded. With this thesis we wanted to draw attention to the problem of exceeding the skills of paramedics in emergency services.
