Abstract:
POVZETEK V diplomski nalogi smo osvetlili romsko problematiko na področju vzgoje in izobraževanja. Namen naloge je preučiti dejavnike, ki vplivajo na učno vzgojne procese romskih otrok, ter ugotoviti kakšni so rezultati projekta »Uspešno vključevanje Romov v vzgojo in izobraževanje«. Romi so v svoji zgodovini doživljali socialno izključenost, diskriminacijo in mnogi od teh negativnih dejavnikov so ostali še danes. Temelj za njihov boljši razvoj in boljši družbeni položaj zagotovo predstavlja izobraževanje. Na področju Slovenije se je velik premik pri izobraževanju Romov začel s sprejetjem projekta »Uspešno vključevanje Romov v vzgojo in izobraževanje«. V diplomski nalogi smo s pomočjo anket in intervjujev pridobili pomembne podatke o uspešnosti projekta. Anketirali smo tri romske pomočnike in sedem učiteljev razrednega pouka ter intervjuvali 29 staršev romskih otrok, ter 9 romskih otrok. Eden od ciljev naloge je predstaviti področja uspešnosti dela romskih pomočnikov. Rezultati kažejo, da se je z vključitvijo romskih pomočnikov izboljšal obisk pouka, motiviranost za izobraževanje je narasla in tudi učni uspeh romskih otrok je boljši. Romski pomočniki predstavljajo most med šolo in romsko skupnostjo. Z njihovo pomočjo se je komunikacija med izobraževalnimi institucijami in romsko skupnostjo vidno izboljšala. To se kaže predvsem pri večjem sodelovanju staršev romskih otrok z šolo, prav tako pa so bolj motivirani za izobraževanje svojih otrok. Na osnovi dobljenih rezultatov menimo, da bi morali še naprej graditi na integraciji, medkulturnosti in izobraževanju romskih otrok, saj to predstavlja velik kapital za njihovo prihodnost. Title:
THE SUCCESS OF PROJECT INTEGRATION OF THE ROMA IN EDUCATION
Abstract:
ABSTRACT The diploma thesis sheds light on the Roma issue in the field of education. The purpose of the thesis was to study the factors that affect the learning and educational processes of Roma children and to determine the results of the project "Successful Inclusion of Roma in Education". Throughout their history, the Roma have experienced social exclusion and discrimination; many of these negative factors are still present today. Without a doubt education presents a foundation for their better development and better social status. In Slovenia a great shift in the education of the Roma began when the project "Successful Inclusion of Roma in Education" was accepted. The diploma thesis contains important information on the success of this project, which was obtained with questionnaires and interviews. Three Roma assistants and seven classroom teachers were polled, and 29 parents of Roma children and 9 Roma children were interviewed. One of the aims of the thesis is to present the areas in which Roma assistants have been successful. Results show that by including Roma assistants class attendance has improved, as have the motivation for receiving education and the school results of Roma children. Roma assistants present a bridge between the school and the Roma community. With their help communication between educational institutions and the Roma community has noticeably improved. This can be seen in the greater cooperation of the parents of Roma children with the school and in their greater motivation for their children to receive education. Based on the obtained results it is believed that the integration, interculturality and education of Roma children should be developed further, since it represents great capital for their future.
