Abstract:
V diplomskem delu opišemo potek gradnje in delovanja sledilnega sistema, ki temelji na razpoznavanju objektov iz realno-časovnih video posnetkov, in usmerja laserski žarek ter kamero v objekt, ki mu sledi. Večji poudarek namenimo različnim načinom sledenja in prepoznavanja objektov, njihovemu programiranju ter načinu delovanja. Opisujemo tudi digitalno sliko, njeno shranjevanje, načine obdelovanja, gradnjo sledilnega sistema in komunikacijo krmilnika z računalnikom. Nazadnje se posvetimo umerjanju sistema in izračunu kalibracijskih vrednosti.

OBJECT BASED TRACKING USING CAMERA
Abstract:
In this diploma thesis we talk about the construction and working of the tracking device that detects objects in real-time. It consists of a laser and a camera, each placed on a servo powered gimbal. When tracking an object it follows it by directing a laser on, following it with a camera or both at the same time. It has different modes of operation and object recognition, for example it can detect not only moving objects or faces but it can track any rectangular area which we have marked up on a screen.
