Abstract:Idealna kontracepcija je učinkovita, enostavna, varna, povratna, sprejemljiva za oba partnerja in poceni.

Title:Hormonal contraceptives and women's awareness of their use
Abstract:The ideal contraception is effective, simple, safe, reversible, chip and acceptable for both sex. The selection is wide, but not every contraception method is appropriate for every woman and each couple can decide which contraception method is best for them. Health staff, especially nurses, have a major impact on the awareness of women about contraception. Purpose: Purpose of this diploma thesis is to present the awareness of women about different hormonal contraception, which part has the nurse in that and to determine through the research how well women are informed about different hormonal contraception possibilities. Methods: 50 random women different ages were asked to fill out the survey. All data were statistically analyzed and graphically presented. Results: The survey results show that women are well informed about hormonal contraception. The best known are contraceptive pills and contraceptive patches. Women are familiar with the functioning and side effects or risk factors of hormonal contraception. 100% of women are convinced that weight gain is a side effect of hormonal contraception. The results also show that majority of information about hormonal contraception women get from the gynecologist and on the Internet but not from nurses in the gynecological clinic. Conclusion: Some women are very well informed about hormonal contraception, but there is a small percentage of women who should be additionally informed, not only by gyecologist but also from nurses in the gynecological clinic.
