Abstract:
Diplomska naloga govori o prispevku Viktorja Bežka k slovenski pedagogiki. V prvem delu naloge je predstavljen njegov biografski oris. Osredotočila sem se tudi na zgodovinsko dogajanje v habsburški monarhiji od marčne revolucije do konca prve svetovne vojne. Poseben poudarek je na takratnem slovenskem ozemlju in njegovem družbenem razvoju. Zgodovinsko dogajanje je namreč pomembno vplivalo na Bežka. Predstavljen je tudi razvoj šolske zakonodaje in učiteljišč na Slovenskem, ker je Bežek večino svojega življenja služboval v šolstvu. Drugi del naloge je osredotočen na življenje in delo Viktorja Bežka. Cilj diplomske naloge je bil ovrednotiti pomen njegovega dela in prispevka k slovenski pedagogiki. Najprej je predstavljeno Bežkovo uredniško in učiteljsko delo. V bibliografiji so predstavljene knjige, pri katerih je sodeloval, in knjige, ki jih je spisal sam. Obeleženi so njegovi objavljeni in ohranjeni članki iz različnih revij ter časopisov. Izpostavljene so njegove razprave o rabi formalnih stopenj na Kranjskem in odnos do herbartistične pedagogike.

CONTRIBUTION OF VIKTOR BEŽEK TO SLOVENIAN PEDAGOGICS
Abstract:
This graduation thesis describes Viktor Bežek's contribution to Slovene pedagogy. In the first part I presented his biographic outline. I also focused on historical development in Habsburg Monarchy from the March Revolution till the end of the World War I. I especially emphasized Slovene territory of that time and its social development. Historical development here had an important impact on Viktor Bežek. I also presented the development of Slovene school legislation and teacher's training colleges, since most of his life Bežek worked in schools. The second part focuses on life and work of Viktor Bežek. The main goal of this graduation thesis is to value the importance of his work and contribution to Slovene pedagogy. Bežek's editorial and teaching work is presented first. Books that were created with his participation, and books that he wrote are introduced in the bibliography. I also listed his published and preserved articles from various magazines and newspapers. I have highlighted his discussions on use of the formal deegres in Carniola and his attitude toward Herbart's pedagogy.
