Abstract:
To diplomsko delo je osredotočeno na analizo prometnih nesreč na območju PP Šentjur v obdobju 2008–2012. V prvem delu je predstavljena prometna varnost, kateri so dejavniki, ki vplivajo nanjo, prometna varnost v Evropski uniji in prometna varnost v Republiki Sloveniji. V nadaljevanju so predstavljene prometne nesreče ter kako se obravnavajo. V zadnjem delu pa so analizirani statistični podatki prometnih nesreč, ki so se zgodile na območju PP Šentjur v obdobju 2008–2012, analizirani pa so tudi nevarni cestni odseki cest na omenjenem območju. V zaključku pa so zapisani predlogi za izboljšanje stanja.

ANALYSIS OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS IN THE AREA OF THE POLICE STATION ŠENTJUR IN A TIME PERIOD OF 2008 AND 2012
Abstract:
This thesis is focused on the analysis of traffic accidents in the area of the police station Šentjur in the period of time from 2008 to 2012. In the first part is presented traffic safety and factors affecting it, traffic safety in the European Union and traffic safety specifically in Slovenia. In the second part are described the accidents and how they are handled, and in the last part are analysed the statistics of road accidents that have occured in the area of police station Šentjur in the period of time from 2008 to 2012, including the analysis of the dangerous road sections of roads in the region. In conclusion there are some prepositions for improvement.
