Title:Numerical simulation of thermal and flow conditions in a UniPor cellular structure
Abstract:The purpose of the thesis is to determine the suitability of UniPore cell structures for the heat exchanger with an analysis of its thermal behavior in different modes of operation, with the help of computer simulations. Master's thesis includes the study of literature in the field of behavior of the cellular structure or porous materials with thermal loads, preparation of numerical models of cellular structures UniPore and implementation of parametric computer simulations of heat transfer through UniPore cell structure made of copper for the same input temperatures for different heating medium (water, air) and liquid flow velocities along the pores. Flow regime will be limited to the laminar flow of a viscous fluid. Based on simulation of detailed geometry is necessary to create a simplified model of the heat exchanger taking into account the concept of porous media. The results of computer simulations will be used to describe the hydrodynamic characteristics (pressure drop) and thermal properties (thermal diffusivity value of the porous medium and the overall Nusselt number) of UniPore cell structures.
Keywords:UniPor materials, porous media, heat transfer, heat - flow conditions in the cell structure.
