Abstract:
V diplomskem delu smo se ukvarjali z implementacijo nove lokatorske naprave s pomočjo laserskega kazalnika. Podatke o položaju laserskega kazalnika smo pridobili s kamero ter s postopki računalniškega vida, ki smo jih nato v realnem času pretvorili v premik računalniške miške. Preučili smo obstoječe metode, ki se uporabljajo za detektiranje oziroma sledenje objektom, ter postopke simulacije računalniške miške. Razvili smo aplikacijo, ki na tri različne načine pridobi podatke o premiku laserskega kazalnika in glede na te podatke simulira delovanje računalniške miške. V naši aplikaciji smo torej za detektiranje laserskega kazalnika uporabili metodo za detekcijo na osnovi barve ter dve metodi za detekcijo na osnovi sledenja premika objekta. Našo rešitev smo preizkusili v testnem okolju, pri čemer smo spreminjali osvetlitev v prostoru. Rezultati so pokazali, da naša rešitev deluje praktično neodvisno od osvetlitve v prostoru. Pokazalo pa se je tudi, da je upravljanje računalniškega sistema s pomočjo laserskega kazalnika bistveno počasnejše kot s pomočjo računalniške miške.

LASER POINT AS A COMPUTER MOUSE
Abstract:
The diploma work deals with the implementation of a new pointing device with the help of a laser pointer. The data about the position of the laser pointer was obtained by the camera and computer vision procedures that we converted into cursor movement in real time. We have studied the existing methods used to detect and track objects and processes simulating a computer mouse. We have developed an application that in three different ways obtains information on the movement of the laser pointer and based on these data simulates functioning of a computer mouse. Our application used one method for color-based detection, and two for tracking movement. We changed the lighting in the testing room frequently, and discovered that our solution operates well in virtually any level of ambient light. It turned out also that the management of a computer system by using the laser pointer was considerably slower than using a computer mouse.
